This two day course will explore how the medium of weaving can be used to inform a screen printing practice. Through basic use of a frame loom, participants will learn how to create simple woven structures. Manipulating the warp and weft by exploring a variety of materials, we will create interesting pattern and form. The class will then explore how these surfaces could be adapted to or inform a design for screen printing.
This concept will allow for a discussion and exploration of a multi disciplinary practice. Students will come home with both a woven and screen-printed work.
