This two-day workshop is a great introduction to screen printing. You will learn how to develop your own imagery such as sketches, drawings or marks onto acetate stencils. These stencils will be exposed onto screens using UV light and then printed onto fabric.
During the first session, you will develop a stencil using your own artwork as a starting point. You will learn how to prepare and coat a screen ready for exposure.
The second lesson will see your designs come to life. Using our exposure unit, you will expose your acetates from the previous lesson onto a coated screen. You will mix colour and then print your design onto a range of fabric samples.
We find that it is useful if students bring their own drawings, sketches or photographs with them to the first lesson in order to have a starting point. All materials provided.
